About Labyrinth's Behavior AnalystsCandice A. Gizewski, M.A., BCBA![]() Candice A. Gizewski is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She received her Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Candice has been working with children who have autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities for the past 10 years. She is certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and is currently approved in the state of Illinois as a Medicaid Provider under the Medicaid Children's Waiver as well as an Illinois Early Intervention Provider. Since becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Candice has begun working as an independent provider of applied behavior analysis services for children with autism. She currently runs in-home programming for children ages 2-17 focusing on increasing appropriate behaviors such as communication, social, academic, and self-help skills and reducing inappropriate behaviors such as aggression, self-injury, and maladaptive vocal behaviors. Candice works with the family to develop goals and programming that are designed specifically for each child. She provides direct service as well as supervision and training to both the family as well as other paraprofessionals that work with the child. Candice also collaborates and provides consultation with the child's educational team within the school system. At the present time, Applied Behavior Analysis is best known in the autism community; however, it can be utilized for a variety of issues such as phobias, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. Kerri Young, M.A., BCBA![]() Kerri Young is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She is a graduate of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology Master's program in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Kerri has been working with the special needs population since 2003 and has experience in many different environments with both children and adults. She has extensive experience with children, ages 2 to 18 years old, who have been diagnosed with Autism and Spectrum Disorders. Also, Kerri has worked with clients who have other disabilities or dual diagnoses. In addition, she has experience working in day programs with adults. Kerri provides ABA services to clients in their home. Some of these services include being a one-to-one aid assisting children with community integration, activities of daily living skills (ADL's), discrete trial training, potty training and increasing appropriate behaviors while decreasing inappropriate or maladaptive behaviors. Kerri works closely with parents to assist them in helping their children. For her thesis, she worked on educational goals, specifically sentence combining techniques, with children of typical development. Renee D. Carson, M.A., BCBA![]() Renee D. Carson is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She received her Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has been working in the Applied Behavior Analysis field since 2007. Renee has had experience working with clients as young as age 4 up to the elderly. Her primary experience is with children diagnosed with mental illness, Autism and Spectrum Disorders. Renee has had the opportunity to work in residential settings as well as schools. She works hands-on with her clients and provides supervision and training to the paraprofessionals who may also be working with her clients. She currently does in-home programming for children and focuses on increasing appropriate behaviors, such as communication, social, academic and self-help skills while reducing inappropriate behaviors such as aggression, self-injury and other maladaptive behaviors. |
